Pinterest Marketing & Brand Strategy: How To Use It To Leverage Your Business
I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Josie Bearg of What The Business?! Podcast.
I loved chatting with Josie during our interview. I have to say, it was probably one of the BEST podcast interviews I’ve had in a long time (and I’ve had quite a few!). Josie knows exactly the right questions to ask that will help to educate, engage, and inspire others on their journey in business.
What you will learn from this interview are some of the important factors when it comes to Pinterest Marketing & Brand Strategy, why Pinterest is unique, how Pinterest drives massive traffic to websites for free, and how Pinterest & brand strategy are powerful together in helping you to inspire your audience.
I highly recommend you listen to the podcast interview I had with Josie. It’s the perfect listen to keep you motivated when you are feeling the need for a pick-me-up during those times of imposter syndrome or confusion about your business marketing.
I decided to take some of the points of the podcast episode I found observant and explain a little bit in the form of a blog post.
So head to the episode, plug in your earbuds, take a listen & get inspired!
PODCAST INTERVIEW WITH JOSIE BAERG OF WHAT THE BUSINESS?!
What Is Pinterest Marketing?
As you know, I’m a huge advocate for Pinterest marketing. If you’re interested in learning more about the origin of my story, head to the blog post here to find out how I got started with Pinterest.
In a nutshell, Pinterest Marketing is a visual discovery engine that helps you find the perfect ideas for things you are inspired to create such as finding new ideas for recipes, home and style inspiration, and more.
There are literally billions of pins on Pinterest, and over 459 million active users on the platform as of this current writing of this article.
I have written quite an article about Pinterest Marketing. You can read some of them here:
Not many people are aware of what Brand Strategy is & how Brand Strategy is one of the most important factors to how we attract our customer or client base to our business through human connection & understanding their desires, so let me explain more about it.
What Is Brand Strategy?
Brand Strategy is the foundation of understanding your brand’s personality, archetypes, benefits of existence, and your target market & audience desires.
To learn more about brand strategy, I have written articles about it here for you to read:
How Do They Both Work Together?
As we know, Brand Strategy is taking a deep dive into the core elements of your brand and business.
Pinterest marketing is the marketing vehicle that allows you to reach your target audience, inspire them or pique their interest in learning more about you, your business, and what makes you unique.
Why Would This Be Important For Me?
One thing that some businesses and brands need to keep in mind is that people who follow, purchase, subscribe, or become superfans of our products and services don’t have to do any of the things that I described.
The simple model of ‘if you build it, they will come’ no longer exists.
People follow a brand because it reinforces a form of connection in their lives.
No longer are people becoming a part of a brand because it’s the next best thing.
You need to understand your audience’s psychographics - are they outgoing, do they like to read, are they bargain hunters or will they splurge on the finer things in life.
Knowing the psychographics of your audience helps to direct your Pinterest Marketing strategy - what action words do you use in your newsletter or messaging, will they only download your free content or will they purchase from you? Will they sign up to be on your newsletter or will you have to work harder on your marketing funnel?
Pinterest Marketing & Brand Strategy really do go hand-in-hand. Once you listen to the podcast interview, you’ll gain a further understanding of how both strategies can help you work SMARTER not harder.
I hope you gain some valuable information from this podcast episode! Take a listen here and make sure to leave a comment on what takeaway you found most valuable.
